Lost Dog: Have you Seen Sidney the Beagle/Basset Hound Mix?

The dog went missing when it managed to wriggle out of its collar in June.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — An Upper East Side resident is looking for her dog who went missing near Carl Schurz Park in June.

Sidney, a Beagle/Basset Hound mix, went missing on June 13 when she managed to get off her collar and harness on a walk, said Sidney's owner Sabine Paul. Paul said she was on vacation and that a dog sitter was walking Sidney. When Paul returned from vacation on June 18 she visited several local dog shelters including the Animal Care Center, Bideawee, the ASPCA and the Humane Society, but had no luck finding Sidney.
