Man Draws Swastika In Snow At Upper East Side Synagogue: Police
Police are searching for a man captured on video drawing a swastika in the snow in front of an Upper East Side synagogue on Tuesday.
UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — Police are searching for a man who drew a swastika in the snow in front of an Upper East Side synagogue on Tuesday, an act captured on surveillance video.
Around 8:19 a.m. Tuesday, the unidentified man approached the Temple Emanu-El, on Fifth Avenue and East 65th Street. Video shows the man walking up to the synagogue's doors, then descending the steps, bending down and using his finger to carve the symbol into the fresh snow.
The man kept walking north on Fifth Avenue, police said. He is described as light-skinned with a beard and mustache, wearing a multi-colored bucket hat, a dark hooded parka, blue jeans and black boots.

He is wanted for aggravated harassment, police said.
