Woman Punched, Robbed Inside Upper East Side Building Lobby: NYPD
The man punched the woman in the face and body before taking her bag and fleeing the Upper East Side building.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — Police are searching for a man who allegedly followed a woman inside her Upper East Side apartment building and violently robbed her.
Around 11:06 on Friday the suspect followed a 54-year-old woman into her building on East 67th Street near Madison Avenue, police said. Once inside the building the man demanded the woman give him her bag and then punched her in the face and body, police said. When the woman turned the bag over, the man fled the building in an unknown direction, police told Patch.
The woman suffered a laceration to her left eye and bruising to the face, police said. She was taken to New York Presbyterian Hospital, where her injuries were treated, police told Patch.

Police described the suspect as a man around 45-years-old, standing 5-foot-4. The suspect was last seen wearing a black hat, black coat and black pants, police said.
The NYPD is still investigating the robbery and has not made any arrests, police said.
