This Man Groped A Woman On An Upper East Side Subway Platform, Police Say

The man approached a 57-year-old woman, grabbed her and then ran away, police said.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — The NYPD is trying to identify a suspect wanted for forcible touching for groping a woman on an Upper East Side subway platform, police told Patch.

The man (pictured above) approached a 57-year-old woman on the 6 train platform at the subway station on Lexington Avenue and East 77th Street, police said. The man then grabbed the woman's butt and fled the subway station in an unknown direction, police told Patch.

The sexual assault occurred on April 14 around 5:30 a.m., police said.

The suspect is described as a man in his 30s standing 5-foot-6 and weighing around 175 pounds, police said. At the time of the attack he was wearing a light blue shirt and black jacket, police told Patch.
