Man Robbed At Gunpoint On Park Avenue, Police Say

A 32-year-old man was robbed while walking on an Upper East Side stretch of Park Avenue in the early morning.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — The NYPD is trying to identify a man wanted in connection with a gunpoint robbery that occurred on an Upper East Side stretch of Park Avenue, police said.

A 32-year-old man was walking on Park Avenue near East 90th Street early in the morning on Tuesday, Dec. 15, when he was approached from behind by an unknown man, police said. The unknown man grabbed the victim from behind, said there was a gun in his right pocket and demanded money, police said.

The victim handed over $20 the the robber, police said. The robber then fled south on Park Avenue toward East 89th Street, police said.

The victim was not harmed during the robbery, police said.

The suspect is described as a man standing about 5-foot-11 and weighing about 210 pounds, police said. He was last seen wearing a black bubble jacket and blue jeans.
