Man Robs Upper East Side Spa At Knifepoint: Police

The man fled the East 80th Street spa with a haul of $200.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — Police are trying to identify a man wanted in connection with the robbery of an Upper East Side spa.

The suspect entered Wellness Massage Spa on East 80th Street, between Second and Third avenues, around 3:35 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 20 and brandished a knife at a 40-year-old female employee, police told Patch. After receiving $200 the man fled the store in an unknown direction, police said.

Nobody was injured during the robbery, police said.

The suspect (pictured above) is a man with black hair and a black beard, police said. He was wearing a gray knit cap, a white shirt, a blue jacket with the letter "R" on the back, blue jeans and white sneakers with black soles and laces at the time of the robbery, police told Patch.
