A Master Thief Took an Unlocked Cab With its Engine Left Running for a Joyride
The cab was stolen early Sunday morning near Second Avenue and 83rd Street when its driver left to grab some coffee.
UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — A cab driver that parked his car in the Upper East Side to grab some coffee early Sunday morning came back to a surprise.
The cab was gone.
In the 10 minutes it took the driver to get coffee a master auto thief somehow, someway, managed to drive off with the cab. Maybe because it was unlocked. Oh yeah, the engine was left running too. The cabbie might as well have tacked a big red bow and a sign reading "steal me" to the hood of the car.
