NYPD Investigating Central Park Death
Police found a man unconscious and unresponsive next to a park bench. He died at the scene.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY – Police are investigating after a 22-year-old man died in Central Park.
Police were called to East 96 Street and 5th Avenue around 6:30 a.m. Sunday for a report of an unconscious male. Once there, officers found the man unconscious and unresponsive.
Emergency workers declared the man dead at the scene.

The medical examiner will determine how he died, police said.
The man's name is being withheld until his family can be notified.

The Daily Mail reported that someone walking their dog saw found the man with a belt wrapped around his neck and called police. Police think the man may have killed himself, the outlet reported.
The death was discovered just hours before the start of the UAE Healthy Kidney 10k race.
