'Acid'-Toting Robber Hunted By Police On Upper East Side
The man is wanted for threatening two women with acid during robberies on the Upper East Side this month.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — Police have released photos and video of a man suspected of threatening two women with acid during robberies at the same Upper East Side bank.
The suspect, a currently unidentified man, is wanted for robbing two women this month in a Citi Bank on First Avenue and East 86th Street, police told Patch. During both robberies the man approached his victims and brandished a bottle with an unknown liquid, telling the women that it contained acid.
The man then threatened both women to withdraw $1,000 from the bank's ATM or else he would splash them with the acid, police said.

The first robbery occurred on May 12 around 5:30 p.m., police said. The man robbed and threatened a 22-year-old woman who complied with the man's threats and gave him $1,000. The second robbery occurred on May 29 around 1:30 p.m., police said. The 36-year-old victim gave the man $500, police said.
The NYPD released surveillance video of the suspect entering the Citi Bank holding a plastic bag. The man appears to set the bag down on a table inside the bank and take a bottle out of the bag.
