84-Year-Old Man Struck by SUV in Upper East Side, Hospitalized in Critical Condition
An elderly man was hit on Lexington Avenue & East 79 Street, police said.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — An 84-year-old man is in critical condition after being struck by an SUV on the Upper East Side, police told Patch.
The collision occurred around 11 a.m. on Lexington Avenue and 79th Street as the man was crossing the street. The man, who has not been identified, has been transported to New York Presbyterian Hospital in critical condition, police said.

The scene is still active and a police investigation is ongoing. The incident was not a hit-and-run as the driver stayed on-scene, police said. The driver was not immediately ticketed or charged, police said.
