Police Release Photos Of Suspected Upper East Side Bank Robber

The man allegedly robbed a Chase bank Monday on East 86th Street, police said.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — Police are asking the public to help identify a man wanted in connection with the robbery of a Chase bank on the Upper East Side, police told Patch.

The man is suspected of entering the Chase branch on East 86th Street near Lexington Avenue around 3:45 on Monday and handing a bank teller a note demanding money, police said. The teller complied with the demand and handed the man an undetermined amount of cash, police told Patch.

The man then fled the bank, police said. There were no injuries reported during the robbery, police told Patch.

The suspect (pictured above) is in his 40s or 50s, stands 6-feet-tall and is bald, police told Patch. At the time of the robbery he was wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans, police said.
