Police Release Surveillance Photos of Dennis Basso Fur Heist

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — Police have released surveillance photos showing the three masked men who robbed a fur store on the Upper East Side and got away with a haul worth millions.

The three suspects — pictured above — broke into the store Saturday around 5 a.m. by throwing a brick or paving stone through the front window, police told Patch. Once the glass was shattered the men stormed into the Madison Avenue store and targeted the most expensive fur coats on display, police said.

A manager from the store told Eyewitness News that the stolen goods are worth millions of dollars.

"We already identified about 20 major pieces that were missing," the manager told Eyewitness News. "These guys knew what they were doing because they targeted the very expensive sable coats and chinchillas."

The robbers exited the store with the fur coats and fled the scene in a blue SUV, police told Patch.

Surveillance photos show that all three of the robbers were wearing masks to cover their faces during the heist. One of the robbers was wearing a black hoodie, a dark colored coat and black pants, the second was wearing a brown knit cap, a black hoodie, a brown jacket and blue jeans and the third was wearing a dark colored hoodie and a black coat, police told Patch.
