Police Remind Upper East Siders, Watch Out for the July 4th Burglar

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — Police resurfaced the image of a man wanted for burglarizing apartments on the Upper East Side during the Fourth of July in 2014 and 2015.

The man, who apparently has better things to do than celebrating the United States of America, made out with more than $200,000 worth of loot last year, DNAinfo first reported.

Apparently the man has been taking advantage of the holiday — which many leave the city for — to commit robberies since the 80s, police told DNAinfo.

This year, the 19th precinct plans on keeping a watchful eye to finally nab the patriot-hating thief. If you recognize the man in the picture above police want you to call (800)577-TIPS.
