Manhattan Serial Bank Robber Strikes for the 7th Time: Police
After laying low for two weeks, a serial bank robber hit another bank Friday, this time in the Upper East Side.
A bank robber that's hit locations on the Upper West Side, Murray Hill and the West Village struck for the seventh time Friday — this time on the Upper East Side.
At around 2:45 p.m. Friday the robber entered an HSBC bank on 45 East 89th Street and handed the teller a note demanding money, police told Patch. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash from the teller the robber ran out of the bank and fled the location, police said.
Police believe that the suspect in Friday's bank robbery is also wanted for six others across Manhattan. The previous robbery took place exactly two weeks prior to Friday's robbery at a HSBC Bank located at 721 Amsterdam Avenue.
