Teen Slashed On Upper East Side Subway Platform, Police Say
The teen was standing on the platform when he was approached by a man who cut him across the face, police said.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — A teenager was slashed inside an Upper East Side subway station Wednesday night in a seemingly random attack, police told Patch.
A 16-year-old boy was standing on a platform at the 59th Street and Lexington Avenue station around 7:45 p.m. when he was approached by an unknown male and slashed across the face with a sharp object, an NYPD spokesman said.
The teen suffered serious injuries and was taken to Weill Cornell Medical Center in stable condition, police told Patch. Immediately following the slashing the teen ran into a Bloomingdale's store attached to the subway station for help, witnesses told Eyewitness News.
