Dogs Rescued From UES Kennel Fire, FDNY Says
There were no human or dog-related injuries reported during the fire, which was put out within 30 minutes.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — Several dogs were pulled from a burning Upper East Side building Tuesday afternoon after a fire broke out in a kennel located on the building's ground floor, an FDNY spokesman said.
Firefighters responded to reports of a blaze at American Kennels on Lexington Avenue and East 62nd Street around 1:15 p.m. to find a small fire in the building's duct work, an FDNY spokesman said. The FDNY evacuated dogs from the building and had the fire under control withing 30 minutes, the spokesman said.
An FDNY spokesman could not confirm whether the dogs were allowed back inside the building after the fire was put out, or whether the animals were transported to another location. A spokesperson for the Animal Care Centers of New York did not immediately respond to a message left by Patch.
