Man Arrested On Upper East Side Stormed Capitol, FBI Says
The man arrested on the Upper East Side Wednesday stormed the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6 and posted about it on social media, the FBI said.
UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — A man arrested on the Upper East Side on Wednesday was part of the mob that stormed the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, and had posted about his plans for weeks on social media leading up to the riot, according to the FBI.
Samuel Fisher, who also calls himself Brad Holiday, was taken into custody Wednesday morning on East 90th Street, near his residence, an FBI spokesperson said.
Fisher, a supporter of outgoing president Donald Trump, appears to run a Facebook page called "LuxLife Dating Coaching." He also has a personal website where he has posted regularly about relationship and business advice — sometimes laden with misogynistic and homophobic language — and promoted baseless conspiracy theories alleging rampant pedophilia in the upper ranks of government.

Fisher's arrest came after a tipster contacted the FBI and shared photographs showing him participating in the storming of the Capitol, including one where he appears to be standing atop the Capitol steps, according to an affidavit filed Wednesday by an FBI field agent, which was made public by the Program on Extremism at George Washington University.
On Dec. 3, Fisher posted on Facebook that he wanted to "stand up to these people and take our world back," adding, "It's time to bring the pain upon them," the FBI said.

On Dec. 30, he wrote: "im headed to dc on the 5th," and continued to post about his plans to join the Jan. 6 rally, according to the FBI. He later said he was staying in an Airbnb in Washington, D.C., and sent a photo of two firearms to an unspecified person.

"At 1 when congress certifies the election… Trump just needs to fire the bat signal… deputize patriots… and then the pain comes," Fisher wrote on his website the day before the riot. "We aren’t looking to fight or hurt anyone… but the odds that this is going to be solved any other way… is next to nothing."
Beyond his own statements, IP records also show that Fisher was in Washington on Jan. 6, according to the FBI.
The events of Jan. 6 resulted in the deaths of five people and delayed Congress's certification of the Electoral College votes by several hours.
One day after the Capitol riot, responding to a question about whether he had been on the "frontlines," Fisher responded: "i was there . . . it was awesome," according to the FBI.
"People died . . . but it was f*cking great if you ask me."
Agents from the FBI's Joint Terrorism Task Force were seen on East 88th Street between First and York avenues Wednesday morning. The arrest was carried out on behalf of the FBI's Washington Field Office.
Agents seized a shotgun, ammunition, two machetes, two tactical vests and other weaponry from Fisher's Chevrolet 1500 Tahoe SUV, according to the Daily News. The vehicle also contained an American flag, a newspaper with Trump's face on it, a poncho and vitamins.
The FBI has released images of a number of people who remain wanted for allegedly participating in the storming of the Capitol building.
