Upper East Side Nursing and Rehabilitation Center Says “Goodbye Summer, Hello Fall”

Local Nursing and Rehab Center Welcomes Autumn with a Festive Bash

The Upper East Side Nursing and Rehabilitation Center recently hosted a festive party welcoming in the new season of cooler weather and saying farewell to a fun-filled summer. The event served as the ultimate culmination of the facility’s summer recreational activities. Senior citizen residents reveled in the last-bit of summer weather while reminiscing about the endless ice cream socials, delicious barbeques, luau parties and leisurely days enjoying the facility’s patio. Upper East Side staff continuously sought to provide residents with a memorable summer – and this last bash was the perfect ending.

Staff members arranged an ice cream sundae bar with vanilla, chocolate and mint chocolate chip ice cream along with all the fixings – sprinkles, whipped cream, chocolate syrup and much more. Residents were also treated to refreshing seasonal drinks including iced tea, lemonade and a delicious fruit punch. While residents enjoyed their tasty summer treats, music and entertainment was provided by “Jasmyn,” a duet group with a pianist and singer.

As the Upper East Side facility embraces autumn, the cuisine at social gatherings has begun to shift to apple cider and pumpkin pie but the staff’s dedication to providing an enjoyable healing process has remain unchanged.
