Upper East Side Parking to be Suspended for Street Work Next Week
Parking on several streets will be suspended from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. on the week of August 29.
UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — Drivers won't be able to park on several streets on the Upper East Side during the evening and early morning hours next week.
Due to planned street work by the Department Design and of Construction, parking will be suspended on the following streets from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. starting Monday, Aug. 29.
- 5th Avenue between East 82nd and 71st streets.
- East 72nd Street between 5th and York avenues.
- 2nd Avenue between East 79th and 78th streets
- 3rd Avenue between East 86th and 72nd streets.
- East 74th Street between 5th Avenue and FDR Drive.
- East 79th Street between 5th and 2nd avenues.
The street work is expected to take two days to complete for each site. The DDC will continue doing street work on the east side of the city, moving downtown, until October 12.

While streets are closed on the Upper East Side, driver will be able to look for no parkings signs posted accordingly.
