Upper East Side Woman Shoved Into Car During Assault, Cops Say

The 65-year-old victim was able to scare her attacker off by blaring a car horn, police said.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — The NYPD is trying to identify a man wanted for assaulting a 65-year-old woman on the Upper East Side, police said.

The woman was getting out of her car on East 91st Street and Third Avenue on the night of Nov. 2 when she was approached by an unknown man who pushed her back into the vehicle, police said. During the assault, the man shoved the woman's head into the car dashboard, police said.

The woman was able to scare off her attacker by blaring the car's horn, police said. The suspect fled the scene in an unknown direction after hearing the horn, police said.

The 65-year-old victim told police she felt pain in her neck and shoulder but refused medical attention. Nothing was stolen from her during the attack, police said.

Police released photos of the suspect taken from a security camera on East 91st Street. The man was last seen wearing a white hoodie, blue jeans and white sneakers.
