Woman Attempts to Rob Upper East Side Bank: Police
The woman entered a Chase branch Monday and passed the teller a note demanding money.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY - Police are searching for a woman who tried and failed Monday to rob a bank on the Upper East Side.
The alleged would-be robber entered a Chase branch on East 86th Street near 2nd avenue around 4:45 p.m. and handed a teller a note demanding money, police told Patch. The unfazed teller simply walked away from the window, causing the woman to flee the bank, police said.
The suspect is described as a white woman in her 30s, police said. At the time of the attempted robbery the woman was wearing glasses, a black knit hat a black jacket and black gloves.
