Woman Hit by Car on Upper East Side Suffers Serious Injuries: FDNY

A woman was struck and dragged by a vehicle Sunday night while trying to cross the intersection of East 95th Street and 2nd Avenue.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — A woman was seriously injured Sunday night when she was hit by a car attempting to cross the street on the Upper East Side, an FDNY spokesman told Patch.

The woman was crossing in the intersection of East 95th Street and 2nd Avenue when she was struck by a vehicle and dragged along the street, officials said. The woman was transported to New York Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center, suffering from serious injuries.

At this time the collision appears to have been an accident, as the driver stayed on the scene, reported DNAinfo. A police source told DNAinfo that the driver has not been charged.
