Woman Injured After Being Hit by MTA Bus on Upper East Side

A woman was hit by a bus while in the crosswalk of 2nd Avenue and 61st Street.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY – A woman was taken to the hospital after being hit by an MTA bus Friday on the Upper East Side, officials told Patch.

The woman was struck in the crosswalk of 2nd Avenue and 61st Street around 11:40 a.m. by a QM11 bus as it was turning onto 2nd Avenue, MTA officials told Patch. The woman was transported to Weill Cornell Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries, MTA officials said.

The incident was not a hit-and-run as the bus driver stayed on the scene after the collision, officials said.
