Woman Jumps To Death From Upper East Side High-Rise, Police Say

A 44-year-old woman was found dead Sunday behind a 40-story apartment building on East 72nd Street.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — A woman jumped to her death Sunday from the top floor of an Upper East Side high-rise apartment building, an NYPD spokeswoman told Patch.

The 44-year-old woman was found dead after jumping from a 40th floor apartment of 515 E. 72nd St., a high-rise building located east of York Avenue, an NYPD spokeswoman said. The woman, who was not identified, was found around 10:15 a.m. in the rear of the building, police told Patch.

Police could not confirm whether the woman was a resident of the luxury condominium building.
