Woman Punched In Face During Subway Fight on Upper East Side: Police

A verbal dispute at the 68th Street-Hunter College station turned violent, police said.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — Police are trying to identify a woman wanted for assault after a verbal dispute at an Upper East Side train station turned violent.

On Sunday, Dec. 11 around 6:50 p.m. a woman in her 20s punched a 43-year-old woman in the face, knocking the victim's glasses off her face, police said. The two women were engaged in a verbal dispute on board a southbound a 6 train which turned violent when the train reached the 68th Street-Hunter college station, police told Patch.

The 43-year-old woman suffered a cut to the bridge of her nose, police said.

The suspect (pictured above) is described as a woman in her 20s.
