Woman Rescued From Upper East Side Rooftop
The woman was threatening to jump from a Lexington Avenue building when cops grabbed her from behind, according to reports.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — A woman threatening to jump from an Upper East Side building Thursday morning was rescued by police officers.
The woman, who has not been identified, appeared on the ledge of a rooftop on Lexington Avenue and East 86th Street around 10:40 a.m. Thursday, the New York Post reported. The allegedly suicidal woman was threatening to jump when police officers gained access to the building's roof and attempted to talk her off the ledge, the Post reported.
As officers spoke with the woman she threatened to jump from the building, police told the Post. Before she was able to leap from the building, officers grabbed her and brought her to safety, the Post reported.

The woman was transported to a nearby hospital for a psychiatric evaluation, the Post reported.
A message left with the NYPD by Patch was not immediately returned.
