Women Steal $13K Watch From Elderly Man In Upper East Side Hotel, Police Say
A 79-year-old man suffered scratch wounds to his face when two women stole his $13,000 watch.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — The NYPD is trying to identify two women who stole a pricey watch from an elderly man in an Upper East Side hotel, police told Patch.
On Monday, May 8, two women forcibly removed a $13,000 watch and $3,000 cash from a 79-year-old man at the Lowes Regency Hotel at 540 Park Avenue between East 61st and 62nd streets, police said. The robbery occurred around 8:30 p.m., and the women were seen fleeing the scene by taking the hotel elevators, police told Patch.
The 79-year-old man suffered scratches to his face but was not hospitalized, police told Patch.

Both of the suspects are thought to be women in their mid to late 20s, police said. One woman stood about 5-foot-8, had long black hair and was last seen wearing a light colored dress. The second woman stood about 5-foot-5, had long black hair and was last seen wearing a green top, green skirt, a purse and large hoop earrings, police told Patch.
