2 NYC Hospitals Ranked In Top 1% Nationally In New Report

NEW YORK CITY — Two hospitals in the Big Apple are ranked among the top 1 percent of clinical care facilities in the country, according to a new report Tuesday.

The 2026 America’s Best Hospitals awards from Healthgrades, an online resource to help people find doctors and hospitals, is a three-tiered ranking of the top 50, 100 and 250 hospitals, which, respectively, represent the top 1 percent, 2 percent and 5 percent of clinical care hospitals nationwide.

In New York City, medical centers named to America’s 50 Best Hospitals are:

Lenox Hill Hospital

• Campus location: 100 E 77th St., New York, NY 10075
• Consecutive years on list: 13

NYU Langone Hospital

• Campus location: 550 1st Ave., New York, NY 10016
• Consecutive years on list: 8

New York City hospitals ranked in the top 100 are:

NewYork-Presbyterian Queens

• Campus location: 5645 Main St., Flushing, NY 11355
• Consecutive years on list: 7

Hospitals in the top 250 are:

New York-Presbyterian Hospital

• Campus location: 525 E 68th St., New York, NY 10065
• Consecutive years on list: 2

If all hospitals performed similarly to America’s 250 Best Hospitals, 211,370 lives could have been saved, Healthgrades said in a news release.

Nearly two-thirds of consumers say they’re more likely to choose a hospital with a quality award than without, highlighting the growing importance of access to objective hospital quality data, Healthgrades said. To determine the top 250 U.S. hospitals, Healthgrades evaluated clinical performance for approximately 4,500 hospitals across more than 30 common procedures and conditions.
