UPPER WEST SIDE, MANHATTAN — Three people were rushed to the hospital Wednesday after a tree limb fell onto a pedestrian path in Riverside Park, police said.

The tree limb broke off of an oak tree just after 6 p.m. near Riverside Drive and West 95th Street, falling into a pedestrian walkway, an NYPD spokesperson told Patch.

The tree hit a group of people, three of which had to be sent to Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital.

A 59-year-old man had a laceration to his head, a 49-year-old woman suffered head trauma and another woman, 55, was cut on her head and arms, the spokesperson said. All three were in stable condition.
