Adelphi Orchestra Announces 73rd Season: NYC Concerts at Broadway Presbyterian Church

Adelphi Orchestra brings its 73rd season to Broadway Presbyterian Church, honoring America @ 250 & Beethoven with guest soloists

TheAdelphi Orchestra has announced its landmark 73rd consecutive concert season (2026–2027). Led by Principal Conductor Kyunghun Kim, the orchestra returns to the Upper West Side with a series of symphonic concerts at Broadway Presbyterian Church (114th St. & Broadway) alongside special performances in New Jersey.

The upcoming season honors two major milestones: America’s Semiquincentennial (America @ 250) and the 200th anniversary of Ludwig van Beethoven’s legacy.

2026–2027 NEW YORK CITY & FULL SEASON SCHEDULE
  • Concert I: "American Voices at 250" (NYC Performance)
    • Sunday, October 11, 2026 at 3:00 PM | Broadway Presbyterian Church (NYC)
    • (NJ Opener: Sat, Oct 10, 2:00 PM at Fair Lawn Community Center)
    • Program: Samuel Barber’s Adagio for Strings and Violin Concerto (featuring guest soloist Sophia Werner, Juilliard Kovner Fellow), concluding with Beethoven’s Symphony No. 8.
  • Special Presentation: "Mozart!"
    • Sunday, November 15, 2026 at 4:00 PM | Barrymore Film Center (Fort Lee, NJ)
    • Program: Violinist TianYou Ma performs Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 5, followed by Symphony No. 40.
  • Holiday Special: Tchaikovsky's "The Nutcracker Ballet"
    • December 12 & 13, 2026 | River Dell High School (Oradell, NJ)
    • Live orchestral performance in collaboration with Ballet Arts.
  • Concert III: "Beethoven Bicentennial" (NYC Performance)
    • Saturday, February 27, 2027 at 2:00 PM | Broadway Presbyterian Church (NYC)
    • (NJ Performance: Sun, Feb 28, 2:00 PM at Fair Lawn Community Center)
    • Program: Guest violinist Maude Cloutier performs Beethoven’s Violin Concerto, paired with Symphony No. 6 "Pastoral".
  • Concert IV: "Brahms & Beethoven" — Season Finale (NYC Performance)
    • Saturday, May 22, 2027 at 2:00 PM | Broadway Presbyterian Church (NYC)
    • (NJ Finale: Sun, May 23, 2:00 PM at Fair Lawn Community Center)
    • Program: Julia Jones (violin) and Elliott Sloss (cello) perform Brahms’ Double Concerto, concluding with Beethoven's Symphony No. 7.
