Man, 73, Stabbed On UWS Bus, Police Say

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — A 73-year-old man was stabbed after getting into a dispute with two people aboard an MTA bus on the Upper West Side earlier this month, according to New York City Police Department officials.

The attack happened around 6:30 p.m. on June 5, near Broadway and West 92nd Street, police said.

The victim was riding an M104 bus when he became involved in a verbal dispute with two suspects, police said.

The argument turned violent when the pair repeatedly punched the man in the head and body before one of them pulled out a knife and stabbed him in the left shoulder, according to the NYPD.

The suspects fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction, officials said.

Medics took the victim to Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital in stable condition, police said.

The NYPD released surveillance images of the two suspects and has not made any arrests yet. Police said the investigation is underway.
