The 24-year-old bicyclist was critically injured on Oct. 10 and died a week later.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — A bicyclist who was struck by a tractor-trailer on the Upper West Side has died of his injuries, police told Patch.
Abu Sufian Molliek Rifat, 24, succumbed to his injuries in Saint Luke’s Medical Center on Wednesday, police said. He was struck by a tractor-trailer on Broadway between West 71st and 72nd streets around 10:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 10, police said.
Both Rifat and the tractor trailer were heading north on Broadway at the time of the collision, police said. NYPD investigators seem to be placing the blame on Rifat, saying he "struck the side of the tractor trailer and fell to the ground" in a police report.
