UPPER WEST SIDE, MANHATTAN — A 66-year-old man with bipolar disorder has been missing for nearly a month, police said this week.

Roberty Meyer, who lives in an apartment building at 253 West 72nd St., was last seen in his home around 9 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 29, police said in a release this week.

Meyer's family told officers that they discovered he wasn't in the apartment that night and that the front door was unlocked, an NYPD spokesperson said. Meyer's uncle said he tried calling Meyer that night and got no response.

The spokesperson did not know when the missing persons report was filed. A request for media attention about Meyer was sent to reporters by email for the first time on Tuesday and his picture was first posted to the NYPD Missing Persons Twitter page on March 21.

Meyer is described as standing about 5'11, weighing between 200 and 210 pounds. He has "salt and pepper hair," and wears glasses, police said.
