Bootcamp Gym To Open In Upper West Side Brownstone

Barry's Bootcamp will open a new gym in a West 69th Street brownstone.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — A new workout option will soon be available for Upper West Siders, and it's going to be based out of a brownstone.

Barry's Bootcamp — a chain of gyms that specialize in cardio and strength interval workouts — is set to debut in a West 69th Street brownstone on Saturday, according to a press release. Workouts classes at the gym are said to burn up to 1,000 calories per session, according to the release.

The new gym — located between Columbus Avenue and Central Park West — is more than 2,000 square feet large and classes can accommodate more than 50 people, according to a press release. The location will also have a Fuel Bar serving smoothies and snacks, and men's and women's locker rooms on location. Barry's Bootcamp apparel will also be sold at the gym.

The Upper West Side gym will be Barry Bootcamp's sixth location in New York City and 40th location globally. The gym chain first opened 20 years ago in Los Angeles and also has gyms in the Hamptons and Scarsdale, New York, according to a press release.
