Kim’s latest suite of works demonstrates the artist’s technical and thematic command of dramatic storytelling; deploying dramatically exaggerated forms, Kim clarifies their place as a neo-Romantic, deploying scintillating scenes that express the wrangled campaign of mankind vs. his inner, and sometimes self-defeating, nature.
-Ekin Erkan is a philosopher and art history researcher whose writing has appeared in The British Journal of Aesthetics, Philosophia, and the Journal of Value Inquiry, amongst other venues. Erkan also is an art critic who contributes to the Brooklyn Rail.
