Lincoln Center, in collaboration with Buglisi Dance Theatre, presents the iconic Table of Silence Project 9/11 ritual performance, an artistic call to action for peace. The work transforms Josie Robertson Plaza into a sacred sanctuary where all are invited to come together for unity and healing. Conceived and choreographed by Jacqulyn Buglisi to commemorate the loss of life and honor the bravery of all individuals affected by acts of terror, war, and oppression, Table of Silence Project 9/11 has become an annual rite of remembrance and vision of hope. At the sound of the conch, more than 150 dancers and musicians ascend onto the Plaza, led by principal dancer Terese Capucilli, violinist Daniel Bernard Roumain, and spoken word artist Marc Bamuthi Joseph. This year’s program opens with a reimagining of Buglisi's Requiem. A Sunset Dress Rehearsal open to all will be held on September 10 at 7:00 pm.
