UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — Patch has compiled a list of events Upper West Siders might want to know about in the coming week.
From community board meetings to musical streams to fondue pairings, here are the dates to know for the week starting on March 8.
Ongoing Events:
Lincoln Center Concert Series: In memory of the lives lost during the COVID-19 pandemic, Lincoln Center hosted a weekly "Memorial For Us All" concert series. The concert series has ended but you can watch all the performances on the center's website.

New York Philharmonic: The Philharmonic is still doing its part to bring music to New Yorkers. The symphony is releasing live audio recordings of concerts on their website on a routine basis, such as a recent upload David Zinman conducting Beethoven. You can find the performances here.
Nightly Met Opera Streams: In an effort to brighten the lives of New Yorkers, the Met Opera offers a different presentation from the company's "Live in HD" series each day. The performance is available for 23 hours, from 7:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. the next day. You can watch the concerts on the Met's website.

Around The Upper West Side
Tuesday Matinees: Aizuri Quartet — A virtual performance will be streamed Tuesday at 2 p.m. featuring a performance of Eleanor Alberga's String Quartet No. 1. The performance is hosted by the Merkin Hall within the Kaufman Music Center. Click on the above link to sign up.
The Scientist Is In: Green Thumb — Join the Facebook watch party on Thursday at 2 p.m. from the American Museum of Natural History to explore the most intriguing plants that live in our ecosystems. Click on the above link to sign up.
In-Person Class: Wine & Fondue Pairing — Whether you consider yourself a self-proclaimed wine aficionado, or just have a general appreciation for trying a variety of international wines, this class will teach you how to pair Swiss wines with beautiful Swiss cheese and chocolate (milk and dark) fondues.
The event will take place on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. at 275 West 96th Street.
