The victim was identified by the West Side Rag as popular food cart vendor Sameh Bules who has served Upper West Siders breakfast from the same spot for nearly four years. An NYPD spokeswoman said she could not confirm the name of the victim with Patch.
Police told the West Side Rag that Bules and Santos were engaged in a verbal dispute before the stabbing. During the argument Bules swung a broom at Santos, who responded by stabbing Bules, police told the West Side Rag.
