French Furniture Brand Roche Bobois Opens Upper West Side Showroom

Roche Bobois opened its showroom on Broadway and West 70th Street this week.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — French luxury furniture brand Roche Bobois opened its new Upper West Side showroom this week, a spokeswoman for the bran told Patch.

Roche Bobois opened in a 3,525-square-foot, ground-floor retail location within The Coronado, a luxury mixed-use condominium building on the corner of Broadway and West 70th Street.

“This location was exciting to us for more than one reason. We chose the space because of its strong visibility as well as its prime location in the middle of the district’s already flourishing residential neighborhood,” Pierre Berardo, general manager of Roche Bobois North East U.S., said in a statement. "Based on heavy traffic and existing sales in the area, the highly anticipated opening is set to receive a large amount of attention from homeowners in the neighborhood."

The showroom is Roche Bobois' third New York City location, according to a brand spokeswoman. The French brand has operated a Midtown flagship store on Madison Avenue for four decades and opened on the Upper East Side in 2013, according to a spokeswoman.

Roche Bobois joins brands like LensCrafters and Sabon as a retail tenant within The Coronado. Retail leasing firms RKF and The Greenberg Group represented both parties in the leasing arrangement. RKF represented Sherwood Equities and The Greenberg Group represented Roche Bobois.
