Jacob's Pickles Still Closed After Fire, E's Bar Raises Money For Displaced Families

Nineteen families living in the upper floors of the building were displaced, according to a GoFundMe campaign.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — Upper West Side restaurant Jacob's Pickles and neighbor E's Bar remain closed two weeks after a 4-alarm fire ripped through their building on Amsterdam Avenue between West 84th and 85th streets.

Although both businesses remain closed they are still active in the neighborhood. Jacob's Pickles brunch menu is being served at sister restaurant Maison Pickle on Broadway and West 84th Street and E's Bar owner Erin Bellard created a GoFundMe campaign to raise money for the 19 families displaced by the fire.

"Nobody was hurt, but our neighbors lives have been completely upended. All 19 families lost their homes. Only two tenants had renter's insurance," states the GoFundMe campaign.
