Levain Bakery Opens Second Upper West Side Store

The popular neighborhood bakery opened Wednesday on Amsterdam Avenue between West 76th and 77th streets.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — The Upper West Side's Levain Bakery opened its second neighborhood store Wednesday just blocks from its current West 74th Street location, the bakery announced on social media.

Levain's second store is located on Amsterdam Avenue between West 76th and 77th streets, the bakery announced. The space is larger than the original West 74th Street location and will feature longer hours and more seating.

The Amsterdam Avenue bakery is Levain's fourth location and its third within New York City. In addition to the West 74th Street and Amsterdam locations Levain has outposts in Harlem (Frederick Douglass Boulevard between West 116th and 117th streets) and in the Hamptons town of Wainscott, New York, according to the bakery's website.

Upper West Siders can enjoy some of their favorite Levain offerings such muffins, scones, various fresh breads and the bakery's famous cookies at the new Amsterdam Avenue location.
