Lincoln Center Announces 2017 'Great Performers' Concert Schedule

The concert series will feature some world-renowned classical musicians in its 52nd year.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — Lincoln Center has finalized its lineup for this year's "Great Performers" concert series, the performing arts center announced Tuesday. The series, which will enter its 52nd consecutive year, will feature some world-renowned classical musicians and ensembles, according to Lincoln Center executives.

"Each Great Performers season offers us the opportunity to explore extraordinary musical works performed by the outstanding virtuosos and ensembles of our time," said Jane Moss, the Ehrenkranz Artistic Director of Lincoln Center. "These musical experiences provide us with transcendent illumination of the human heart and are certain to elevate our spirit in the midst of very challenging times."

This year's concert series will feature performances from groups such as the London Symphony Orchestra, the Emerson String Quartet and the Los Angeles Philharmonic, according to Lincoln Center.

The performances have been grouped into seven different categories: Symphonic masters, chamber orchestras, art of the song, virtuoso recitals and chamber music, Sunday morning coffee concerts, music on film and complimentary classical, according to Lincoln Center.
