Lincoln Center 'Jumper' Critically Injured: Officials

A man, who FDNY officials described as a "jumper," was taken to an area hospital after falling from a Lincoln Center building.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — A 56-year-old man was critically injured after jumping from a building on the Lincoln Center campus Thursday morning, an NYPD spokesman told Patch.

The man jumped from a building on Lincoln Center's campus on W. 65th Street, around 10:54 a.m., FDNY officials said. He was taken to New York Presbyterian Hospital in critical condition, officials said.

Around 10:38 the man was seen climbing over a fence to gain access to the building's roof, a spokeswoman for Lincoln Center told Patch. When security noticed the man they immediately called the police and attempted to talk with the man, but he jumped after a matter of minutes, the spokeswoman said.

The NYPD is still investigating the incident, a spokesman told Patch.
