Lincoln Center TKTS Booth To Become Permanent Fixture

Upper West Siders will be able to pick up discounted theater tickets close to home year-round.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — The TKTS booth in Lincoln Center's David Rubenstein Atrium will become a permanent fixture at the Upper West Side performing arts center, Lincoln Center announced Thursday. The booth was installed at Lincoln Center in August 2016 as a temporary pop-up.

"Lincoln Center is delighted to extend our relationship with TKTS," Tom Dunn, a senior director of concert halls operations at Lincoln Center, said in a statement. "The missions of our organizations are aligned in that we both want to expand access to high quality, affordable performing arts on our campus and throughout the city."

The Lincoln Center TKTS booth will be the company's fourth official location in New York City and the only one located indoors, according to a press release. For the past six months the booth has served as a lifeline for theater lovers on the Upper West Side by providing theatergoers the opportunity to purchase same-day tickets for shows off and on broadway at the booth at discounted rates up to 50 percent. The TKTS booth will also start offering discounted tickets for Lincoln Center events, according to a press release.
