Lincoln Center's Pop up TKTS Booth Will Stick Around Until January
The temporary TKTS booth promotion will be extended three months due to positive reception.
UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — Upper West Siders will be able to snag discounted tickets to Broadway shows in their own neighborhood for a few months longer.
The pop up TKTS booth at Lincoln Center was unveiled in August and was expected to operate in the Zucker Box Office for three months. But Lincoln Center announced this month that the temporary promotion will be extended another three months until January.
"Expanding the residency for another three months will give us the opportunity to be at the Zucker Box Office while the Lincoln Center season is in full swing," said Victoria Bailey, executive director of the Theatre Development Fund, in a statement. “The feedback to this experiment has been very positive, and we’re excited to see how this location fares during the winter months.”

The booth is the result of a partnership between Lincoln Center and the Theatre Development Fund, a group that operates TKTS booths citywide.
The Lincoln center pop-up booth operates much like other TKTS booths at Times Square, the South Street Seaport and Downtown Brooklyn. People will be able to purchase same-day tickets for shows off and on broadway at the booth at discounted rates up to 50 percent.

“Our goal is to give more New Yorkers greater access to the arts. By offering tickets for Lincoln Center performances, and by extending our partnership with TKTS, which includes Broadway and Off-Broadway, we are doing just that,” said Tom Dunn, senior director of concert halls and operations for Lincoln Center, in a statement.
