French Luxury Furniture Store To Open On Upper West Side

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — French luxury furniture brand Roche Bobois has secured a lease on the Upper West Side and will open its third Manhattan retail branch this spring, according to a press release.

The furniture store will open a 3,525-square- feet, ground-floor retail location within The Coronado, a luxury mixed-use condominium building on the corner of Broadway and West 70th Street, according to a press release. The opening was announced by Sherwood Equities, the real-estate firm behind The Coronado.

"In the heart of Lincoln Square, The Coronado is the ideal location for Roche Bobois’ newest location," Jeffrey Katz, CEO and principal owner of Sherwood Equities, said in a statement. "We are excited to bring this world-renowned brand to the neighborhood and provide Upper West Side residents with another premiere shopping destination."

Current tenants within The Coronado include LensCrafters and Sabon, according to a press release.

Retail leasing firms RKF and The Greenberg Group represented both parties in the leasing arrangement. RKF represented Sherwood Equities and The Greenberg Group represented Roche Bobois.

"The Upper West Side’s Lincoln Square is a very dense residential market and a particularly high-income corridor that enjoys 24/7 foot traffic, attracting major retailers to the area," Andrew Connolly of RKF said in a statement. “With its high visibility location and wonderful exposure to daytime office workers, residents and tourists, 2040 Broadway was an ideal fit for Roche Bobois to offer its exquisite furnishings to a discriminating clientele that appreciates fine design."
