Man Dies After Jumping Into Hudson River On Upper West Side, Police Say
Witnesses told police that the man jumped into the river near West 99th Street inside Riverside Park.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — Police are investigating the death of a man who jumped into the Hudson river Tuesday night on the Upper West side, an NYPD spokesman told Patch.
Witnesses told police that a man jumped into the river in the vicinity of West 99th Street inside of Riverside Park around 7:15 p.m. Tuesday, an NYPD spokesman said. The man was rescued by firefighters and transported to Mount Sinai St. Luke's hospital where he was pronounced dead, police told Patch.
The Medical Examiner's office will investigate the man's cause of death, an NYPD spokesman told Patch.
