Man Found Hanging From Tree In Riverside Park, Police Say

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — A man's body was found hanging from a tree Thursday morning in an Upper West Side stretch of Riverside Park, an NYPD spokeswoman told Patch. The man, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead on the scene.

The body was found around 6:38 a.m. in the vicinity of West 91st Street, police told Patch.

The man has not been identified, police said. An NYPD spokeswoman could not confirm whether criminality or suicide is suspected, saying that the Medical Examiner will determine the man's cause of death.
