Man Shot To Death On Upper West Side, Police Say

The 33-year-old Upper West Sider was rushed to Mount Sinai Morningside on Thursday, where he was pronounced dead.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — Police are searching for suspects after a 33-year-old man was shot to death on Thursday afternoon on the Upper West Side, New York City Police Department officials said.

According to the NYPD, the victim, Rashaun Hopkins, was shot in front of 53 West 104 St., between Columbus Avenue and Manhattan Avenue, just blocks from his home, around 4:57 p.m.

When police arrived, they found Hopkins with several gunshot wounds in his chest, and they rushed him to Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital, where he died.

Police have not made any arrests yet, and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
