Man Slashed In Head On Upper West Side Train, Police Say

A 26-year-old man suffered a slash wound to the forehead at the West 72nd Street subway station and was taken to the hospital.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — Police are investigating a slashing that left a man bleeding from his head on a northbound 3 train traveling through the Upper West Side.

A 26-year-old male victim exited the 3 train at the subway station at West 72nd Street and Broadway around 9:35 p.m. Sunday, police told Patch. The man had been slashed in the forehead by an unknown male passenger on the train after the two were involved in an argument, police said.

The victim was transported to St. Luke's Hospital for treatment, police said, his injuries are not considered life-threatening.

The alleged slasher fled the West 72nd Street subway station and evaded arrest, police told Patch.
